To be precise, "Nanjing" is not a breakthrough, but a conclusion.

It is the same type of story as "Dead Fire", but on the basis of "Dead Fire", the story structure, language and plot are more carefully polished. After all, there is a considerable lack of experience in writing "Dead Fire". There are a lot of roughness, contradictions, and excessive force in the book. When I arrived at Nanjing, I summed up the experience and methods. When I wrote it, I was relatively restrained. Its overall completion rate is higher than that of "Dead Fire". Everything is written, and the final outcome is also designed from the beginning.

Let’s talk about the beginning of the story.

"Nanjing" was originally inspired by Makoto Shinkai's animated film "Your Name".

When the author finished watching the movie, he was moved by the tone of the story that "a boy and a girl are far apart in space but bound tightly by fate", so the same idea came to my heart, when I finished "Titan" After that, I picked up this idea, filled it in completely, and presented it to all readers and students, which is "We Live in Nanjing".

At the beginning of the setting of "Nanjing", there were many choices, including the assumption that "the heroine lives in the era of doomsday war", "the heroine is a soldier of the surviving resistance unit, and inadvertently communicates with the past during the battle" and other settings, Although it seems that the contradictions of the story will be more intense and the development will be more tortuous, but in the end, they are all abandoned and choose to depict a future with no one, silence and loneliness.

Before the book opened, I discussed with the editor to write about such a doomsday, peaceful, beautiful, vibrant and desolate world. It can be said that this is one of the creative goals of this book, which is for this dish of vinegar-wrapped dumplings.

There are also many plot designs that were also abandoned. Some of them are very interesting, but they are not in line with the logic of the story, so they were abandoned. For example, "When the male and female protagonists lost contact, Wang Ning launched the HAM in Nanjing to relay calls and search on the channel", " The validity period of the key is only fifteen years, and it cannot cross the long night of twenty years. Therefore, people designed high-thrust spacecraft to accelerate the key to near the speed of light, and use the clock slow effect to pass time." A large number of nuclear bombs are launched in the middle of the day, time is slow, when the last swordsman comes to a close, the king returns, intercepts the swordsman outside the atmosphere to save the girl", and so on - but writing a novel is a process of subtraction, and the content is not over stuffed The more the better, the more concise the story should be on the premise of achieving the purpose of writing.

Since the original intention of the story comes from the animated film of Makoto Shinkai, I will pay attention to its animation temperament consciously or unintentionally during the creation process-I personally think this book is just right for a 2D animated film, but there are too many domestic animation filmmakers. Little, this can't be forced, just wait for the destined person. .

However, "Nanjing" has not yet achieved the goal I expected. As a non-Nanjing native, it is still too difficult to write the city well, and it is not enough to rely on a few short collections.

Still have to go deeper into life.

   Finally, a special thanks to:
